This vintage reissue boasts the same design that made the D-28 a classic - herringbone top trim, traditional zig-zag backstripe, and Martin's time-tested scalloped X-bracing. It's perfect guitar in many ways, and suitable for many styles of music and playing. Whether its flatpicking bluegrass or fingerstyle this Martin HD-28V can do it all!
The HD-28V delivers the deep, resonant bass that defines Martin dreadnoughts, paired with articulate high-end clarity that cuts. The solid Sitka spruce top and East Indian rosewood back and sides create a balanced, responsive tone with excellent note definition that is powerful and nuanced. You get rock solid construction - what else would you expect from a Martin. It features a select hardwood neck with black ebony 20-fret fingerboard adorned with diamond and square inlays. A key element of this model is the V neck profile, which isn't found on modern D-28's.
Other features traditional zig-zag back purfling, vintage-styled belly bridge, and classic tortoise pickguard. Gotoh Nickel open-geared tuners with butterbean knobs ensure stable tuning.
