This instrument is a hollow body guitar made with Canadian Wild Cherry that is fully arched, both top and back. The chamber is quite resonant with all the warmth, lows, and mids that hollow body guitars are prized for. It has a cutaway body design with two classic "F" holes for projection, cream binding, and a sleek satin finish. The Canadian Wild Cherry is especially tasty choice of wood that borders on the maple side of tones but is still its own unique flavor, and the Cognac Burst finish really accentuates the lovely grain patterns. The set mahogany neck has a neck profile that is thicker than more modern archtops but still comfy in the hands. The classic archtop appointments are here, such as, a floating pickguard, adjustable bridge, and vintage-style open gear tuners.
The heart of this Kingpin of archtops is its set of Godin Kingpin P90 pickups. These are the most robust single-coil pickups around that provide rich, thick tones balanced with a sparkly top end. With volume and tone controls and a 3-way selector, it is incredibly easy to find your favorite settings.
