Pre-Owned Apache Amps Custom Warren Cuccurullo 85-Watt Guitar Amp Head

When Tommy Aguilar of Apache Amps set out to build this head for Rock & Roll Hall of Famer, Warren Cuccurullo, he knew that he was not entering an ordinary world. He knew the hit songwriter and celebrated guitar svengali demanded the best tone with a solid, consistent sound and one that was loud as hell. When the wall paper comes undone you know you have the right amp. That's what this is here - it's an Apache amp custom built for the man himself, and now available on the market for the first time. Here at Truetone, where Warren is a regular and good friend, we've seen a lot of amazing amps come through - this is one of the coolest.
Whether with his own solo work, Duran Duran, Missing Persons or Frank Zappa, Warren has been known to take his sound to destinations unknown and back again. This Apache Amps head is not only impressively loud at 85 watts, it’s a screaming explosion that manages to not be noisy. No crazy humming or buzzing. Of course, the tone that you get from this amp is straight up amazing. Whether clean or dirty, this versatile head gets the job done. You can dial in your tone with the bass/mid/treble/presence controls, and the flexibility continues with the added bonus of a bright switch.
And if you fear that pedals may not get optimum soundage, play around with the Volume / Master Volumes to sidestep the mental hopscotch. Then you can realize the heavenly smooth tones and sustain in your pedals like never before. Rework these same knobs for enough super clean headroom that would make even Steve Miller blush. Warren had his fun. Now it's your turn to jam in Joe’s garage.
