For those Bold as Love we have one of the coolest Epiphone signature guitars ever with this Epiphone Jimi Hendrix "Love Drops" Flying V. This Flying V is based on the famous Gibson one Jimi played from 1967-69 and features its iconic painted graphics. Made in collaboration with the Gibson Custom Shop and the Hendrix family this is an exceptional guitar that is dripping with great tones.
This Epiphone Jimi Hendrix “Love Drops” Flying V is an Inspired by Gibson Custom recreation with a Flying V body with resonant mahogany. The body shape gives you unparalled access to the entire fingerboard. The Ebony finish is adorned with his hand-painted psychedelic graphics with "Love Drops" painted at the bottom of the right of the guitar. The '67 Flying V 3-ply white pickguard provides a nice contrast to the hand-painted graphics.
You get one-piece mahogany neck with a rounded "C" profile. The laurel fingerboard brings you warmth to your fret hand and its 22 medium-jumbo frets are perfect for those big bends with dot inlays to guide the way. The headstock features a '67 Flying V 3-ply white truss rod cover with Epiphone logo in gold with the back of the headstock has Jimi's signature in gold.
The heart of this legendary reissue is its first-rate electronics. Listen to the iconic tones of a pair of Gibson Custombucker humbucker pickups. These pickups pump out the thickest tones with plenty of articulation whether its chords, riffs, leads and licks. The pickups are wired to CTS potentiometers, with Mallory tone capacitors, and a Switchcraft 3-way pickup select switch and 1/4” output jack.
This classic tribute is flush with great hardware. Get expressive bending with its short Maestro Vibrola and its LockTune tune-o-matic bridge with stopbar tailpiece maintains stability with sustain and great intonation. The black witch hat controls are classic and comfortable. Stay in tune with its Epiphone Deluxe tuners with double-ring Keystone buttons.
This gem is in great condition - there is a ding on one of the horns (see photos) but other than that, it's quite clean. It comes with the ultra-cool original hardshell case that comes with authentic Henrdix and Gibson gold graphics. This Flying V has been setup to play perfectly by the techs in the shop and is likely to fly out of here soon!
