Midnattssol means midnight sun which is a very special thing for people here way up north to look forward to when summer finally returns and the sun barely sets. It’s a time for love, parties, magic and adventure.
I sometimes create things just for myself and sometimes these things don’t really work as proper, international releases. MIDNATTSSOL might be such a case, so instead of doing it the way I usually do, I’m releasing it here, secretely. If you found this, it’s either because you’ve found yourself snooping around on my web page or because you’re subscribed to my newsletter.
In any case, MIDNATTSSOL is like the final boss of Fuzz Faces and Uni-Vibes.
It features a bunch of novel and more importantly useful features for a simple, yet comprehensive final little hômmage to these wonderful circuits, before I start chasing completely different ones.
It’s not with a colossal explosion of marketing and grandeur that I release MIDNATTSSOL, but rather in the form of a whispered secret, alongside a promise of new things to come.
Internal switching allows for choosing either classic Uni-Vibe tones or ReslyTone sounds, and also the option of Fuzz Face or Zonk ii fuzz tones.
It’s not cheap, but I can assure you it should certainly have been set at a much higher price point if I were to follow normal calculations.
